Order a Mississippi Repossession - Hold Harmless Agreement

Mississippi does not have any licensing requirements for repossession companies or repo agents. State law does require agents to notify the local police or sheriff whenever a repossession is performed. This prevents the police from taking a stolen report on a vehicle that was just repossessed. Mississippi does not require lenders to notify their customer prior to repossessing their collateral. This is superseded if the loan was signed in a state that does have a right to cure demand. In that case you should follow the right to cure requirements of that state. Section 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code warrants that all repossessions must be performed without any breach of peace. Lenders are also required to advise their customers in writing of their right to redeem anytime collateral is repossessed. The right to cure notice must advise that the lien holder repossessed the collateral and that they intend to sell it at auction. The consumer can prevent this if they pay the balance in full plus repossession costs within 15 days of the notice.

Mississippi repossession service

Agriculture is one of the primary industries in Mississippi. Subsequently, this leads to a high demand for repossessing agricultural equipment. Our staff at Speedy Repo are experienced at repossessing any type of agricultural equipment you have your sights on repossessing. Our equipment to repossess large agricultural equipment is top notch. There isn't a piece of equipment that you need repossessed that we can't handle in a safe and effective manner. The reality of repossessing AG equipment is this: You aren't going to roll onto the farm by stealth of night and repossess the farmers combine without a confrontation. Dogs bark at anything, horses are quiet and don't make a sound if a raccoon or opossum makes it's rounds. If a human comes onto the farm that the horses don't recognize they will wake up every farmer within a half mile. We avoid all of this by approaching the farmer and letting them know that we were hired to repossess their combine or tractor. We advise them that they could pay off the loan and avoid this, but anything short of Balance in full will require you to take the equipment. If they refuse we explain that the lien holder is required by law to recover the equipment and that if they won't voluntarily surrender it now a sheriff will be back with a replevin order to take it. We are very experienced at getting farmers to do the right thing and just give it up voluntarily. Send us after farm equipment you are after and we will show you why Speedy Repo is the best choice for all of your repossession needs.
