Nebraska does not have any regulations requiring repossessors to hold any license. The state of Nebraska does demand that the lender send the debtor a notice explaining that the they intend to repossess the collateral if the loan is not brought contractually current within 20 days. This is called a 'Right to Cure" notice as it demands the debtor cure the delinquency on the loan to prevent repossession. The lender should mail it to the debtor by certified mail. Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) serves as the primary legal framework governing repossessions. Under these statutes, a recovery must be executed without a 'breach of the peace.' Furthermore, the UCC mandates that consumers be granted a 'Right of Redemption,' allowing them to reclaim their collateral by satisfying the loan balance in full. Lenders are legally required to issue a notice advising the debtor of this right, typically providing a 15-day window to settle the account and recover the collateral.

Boating is very popular in Nebraska: Lake McConaughy, Branched Oak Lake and the Missouri River all of thousands of boats on them every summer. Every winter Speedy Repo gets hundreds of boat repossession assignments. It seems that no one likes to pay for their boat in January during the brutal cold Nebraska winters. We run our license plate scanner cameras through boat storage yards on a regular basis. Odds are our computer system already knows where your boat and trailer are being stored. Spring, summer, winter or fall, give Speedy Repo a call, we will repossess your boat for you.
All terrain vehicles and recreational vehicles are also popular repossessions in Nebraska. In many cities ATV's can be driven on city streets provided they have seat belts and turn signals. All ATV's must be registered with the County treasurer in Nebraska annually. Speedy Repo knows how to access these records and locate where your all terrain vehicle is being kept. We repossess hundreds of ATV's every year and we will recover yours too. One call does it all with Speedy Repo.
