Oklahoma does not have any licensing requirements for repo companies or repo agents. State law does not have any requirements that warrant a lending institution provide notification to a consumer in advance of repossessing the loan collateral. the caveat to this is that if the loan agreement was signed a state that does have a requirement that the lender notify the debtor prior to repossessing the collateral. Federal law requires that every repossession be conducted peacefully and without conflict. Once the collateral is secured, lenders must provide the borrower with a 'Right of Redemption' notice. This legal protection gives the consumer the opportunity to recover their property by paying off the entire loan balance within 15 days before the asset is set  for sale at auction.

Since they already lost the trailer it isn't much of a debate to get them to give up the boat.
