Order an Oregon Repossession - Hold Harmless Agreement

Oregon law does not require repo agents or repo companies to be licensed to perform repossession services. Oregon is not a right to cure state so lien holders are not required to give any advance notification to a consumer that they intend to repossess collateral on a loan that is in Default. State law does demand that  local law enforcement be notified immediately after any repossession is performed. Under UCC regulations, once a lender repossesses collateral, the lenders must provide a 15-day window for debtors to redeem their collateral. Once the debtor pays the amount necessary to bring the account current or settles the loan in full, the lien holder is legally obligated to return the vehicle. Federal guidelines permit self-help repossession as long as it is conducted peacefully.
