Utah does not license repo agencies or repo agents at all. There are no regulations requiring a lien holder to notify a consumer before repossessing their collateral. This does not apply if the loan agreement was signed in a state that does require lenders to notify their consumer in advance of repossessing their collateral. If this is the case, then the laws of the state where the loan agreement was signed take precedent and should be followed. Section 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code demands that once a lender repossesses collateral on a defaulted loan the lender must inform the debtor of their "Right to redemption" which is defined as: The lender must send certified mail to the consumer letting them know that the collateral was repossessed. That the lien holder intends to sell the vehicle at auction. That the proceeds of the auction will be applied to their loan balance. If the loan proceeds exceed the loan balance the consumer will receive a check for the overage. If however the auction proceeds do not cover the loan balance, the consumer will be sued for the deficiency balance. The notification must also inform the consumer that all of this can be avoided if they pay the balance in full on the loan within 15 days at which point the lender will return the collateral to the debtor. As always the peace may not be breached during the execution of any repossession.

Speedy Repo Utah Repossession ServiceIf your collateral is here in Utah our skip tracers will find it. We have proprietary data bases that other repo companies have never even dreamed of having. Our skip tracers are among the best in the United States. Most of our skip tracers come from a law enforcement background, we have 3 skip tracers that worked for Naval Absentee Collection Unit. Yes, they hunted for deserters from the military. It is this team of skip tracers that picked locations for all of our fixed license plate reader (LPR) cameras. Utah's population is spread out, we have strategically placed our fixed LPR cameras at choke points allowing us to determine  where your collateral is traveling on a regular basis. Our fixed LPR cameras operate like a zone defense. We are able to confirm that your collateral is on the road here and what city it is in. If we see that your collateral drives past one of our fixed LPR cameras every day at almost the same time every day, we will dispatch one of our LPR chase vehicles to follow it to work or home. Once we establish where it is being parked we send in one of our tow trucks to grab it.

Speedy Repo Utah Repossession ServiceOur repossession trucks are among the best equipped in the country. We use  new Eagle Claw equipped tow trucks whenever possible for extremely  fast recoveries. We use new rollback wreckers when precision is more important than speed. All of our trucks are equipped with a complete set of Go-Jacks that allow us to slide your collateral out of a parking spot sideways when your collateral is parallel parked. Most debtors are unaware such equipment exists and are amazed that we plucked their ride that was tucked in so tightly. All of our repo equipment is meticulously maintained on a rigorous schedule. Every repo agent is required to inspect at least 40 different items on their truck and complete an inspection report every day. When a driver goes through this they become intimately familiar with their truck and equipment. If anything changes they get it repaired immediately.
