Speedy-Repo is one of a few nationwide repossession services licensed and insured to handle private party repossessions. What is a private party repo? Private party repos are repos that occur without a promissory note, or a lease agreement, or any repo falling outside of the standard debtor to bank relationship.

Lets say for example you lend your nephew your car for a weekend and he never returns it. Your phone calls go unanswered. You call the police and they tell you that since you handed him the keys it is considered a civil matter and they refuse to take a stolen report of do anything to help you. This would be one example of a situation where our private party repo service can save the day.

So you want something repossessed? Speedy Repo has some suggestions to help make the repossession process work quickly for you.

First and most importantly, don't tip off the debtor that you are sending a repossessor after the collateral. Sure it can be frustrating to listen to your debtor's excuses and broken payment promises, but when you tell the debtor "Pay today, or walk tomorrow" what they hear is to hide the car and hide it well.

Second, get your paperwork together. You will need to email a copy of the title to us along with the hold harmless on our web site. Make sure that you have a copy of the title on hand so that when you are ready to order a repossession you can do it right away.

Third, gather any documents that you think may help assist us in finding your debtor. This would include a copy of the debtor's credit application, references, and any other documents you have regarding the person we will be taking the car from.
